I am almost positive the ant you described is part of the family Formicidae probably in the order Hymenoptera. Could you get a better picture of the side of the head?
She is indeed the Queen of England. You should bring her back to the Royale Palace and return her at once.
Based on the information in your thread, I have come to the conclusion that you found a she. Whether the she is a queen or not is still inconclusive.
