1 and 3 are the same species, more likely than not Lasius neoniger. 2 is Lasius latipes, a socially parasitic species.

I found these 3 queen last year. I don't have them anymore, they didn't survive hibernation in my garage (I've learned a lot since then).

1. Location of collection: Camden, DE

2. Date of collection: Sept 1 2018

3. Habitat of collection: Parking Lot

4. Length: see pics

5. Coloration: see pics

6. Distinguishing characteristics: see pics

7. Anything else

8. Nest description: n/a

9. nuptial flight time/date: Not sure

1 and 3 are some sort of claustral brown Lasius. 2 is a parasitic Lasius.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

At this time of year it's more likely Lasius americanus.

I believe he caught them last year.

Lol the only piece of information provided and I missed it. Could be Lasius neonoger or pallitarsis. We will need better information and better pictures.
