Ant ID - Central Europe (South-Western Slovakia)

Dear Ant enthusiasts,

Can you please help me identify the species of the ant queens I have caught? I was able to catch two, unfortunately one of them died.

1. Location (on a map) of collection: Central Europe (South-Western Slovakia)
2. Date of collection: 21st of July
3. Habitat of collection: Forest close to the city, found both queens next to piknik area
4. Length (from head to gaster): Between 10mm & 12mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Brown
6. Distinguishing characteristics: No idea
7. Distinguishing behavior: none
8. Nest description: unknown
9. Nuptial flight time and date: I believe it should have happened 2-3 days before I found the queens. There was no nest nearby (Maybe i did not search enough) and both queens had no wings.

Looks to be a Lasius sp. Can't be more specific with those photos however.

Possibly Lasius emarginatus? Not sure though.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).
