Hello,

I have a Mini Hearth and wonder where to place the heat cable.  My house is kept around 73 degrees which is why I purchased a heat cable.  I have a very small colony of Aphaenogaster rudis in the Mini Hearth.

Where do you place the heat cable?  An inch away from the Mini Hearth or touching one corner or touching all across the front or laying the heat cable on top of the Mini Hearth (mine is the double decker variety with outworld on top)??????
