UPDATED: 4-1-19

Yesterday I caught this queen at Whitney Canyon Park, Santa Clarita, California at around 8PM. I only found one of them and it was just standing there on the trail. After a while I found nothing else and headed home.

UPDATE: 5/1/19 

It took a while but the queen finally laid a clump of eggs.

Update 7-9-19

This queen has died after eating all of its eggs. No workers :(
