1. Location of collection: UCR parking lot, in the rear of campus, Riverside, CA, USA.
2. Date of collection: 6/9/2019, at about 9:30pm.
3. Habitat of collection: Dirt in the parkway between a road and a parking lot
4. Length: 3mm
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Dark appearance to the naked eye. It looked orangish/red upon closer imaging.
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Lack of petiole, thorax/mesosoma appears to go right into the gaster.
7. Anything else distinctive: Nothing that I have the skills to notice at this time.
8. Nest description: It’s nest was at the edge of the sidewalk, with over 30 of her kind. They were wondering around with no apparent direction.
9. Nuptial flight time and date: Nuptial flight is unknown, but all the queens had no wings. Had I believed they were queens, I would have gotten more specimens. I collected 4, however, I have to work on my handling of such small queens.
