Exciting news!
Pogonomyrmex occidentalis queens, for the first time in Canada, will be available for 65$ each (yes it's expensive but a good amount of resources were allocated in
obtaining these queens) Image courtesy of sweeetgrass
Lasius americanus will also be available. Trios of microgynes for 25$, or solo macrogynes for 10$

Unfortunately due to some delays the parasitic Formica will be slighly delayed. Test tube feeders are available on the site now. However, the first order of feeders will be shipped out 2 weeks from now if any are purchased
Making room for some feeder insects. These will be available in 1-2 weeks
Surinam roaches - 1$ per roach, but are parthenogenic (females can start colonies by themselves)
Tribolium confusum - 15$ per colony
Lesser mealworms will be available as well
Expecting Zootermopsis nevadensis pairs throughout the month of August

I recognize that these are more expensive that my common ants, but that is because of the limited supply. Formica podzolica, subsericea, argentea, glacialis will be available later at around 15$ per queen
Formica cf aserva are now available at 30$ each (includes around 5 hosts)
(A number of temporary Formica parasites will be slowly IDed) Most likely also includes Formica obscuriventris as well as some of the other Formica)
Obligate slave-raider Formica (subintegra, pergandei, rubicunda) are available upon request
Polyergus bicolor may be available upon request
Formica montana are now available at 25$ each
Formica subaenescens are now available at 20$ each
Formica neoclara are available, but price has not been determined, nor have they been posted on the website. Will be done by tonight
Heart butts with nanitics will be available soon
Custom Orders
these are purchased separately and must be shipped from their respective locations
Formica pallidefulva/incerta (Arnprior) - 30$
Formica pallidefulva with 50 workers, contained in a mini hearth- 120$, Lasius americanus with 100 workers in a mini hearth -130$ (Ottaw)

I'm looking to get my first formica queen any suggestioins (not looking to spend that much)
I have a number of the Serviformica queens (podzolica, argentea, glacialis, subsericea) that tend to be recommended as good Formica sp for pretty cheap (Tho I don't like Formica as a beginner species myself)

Thick legs. Beta form latipes have thinner legs. What is an "alpha form"?
BTW I recognize these as more expensive than usual. I would like to point out that they are already all introduced and that also Lasius latipes appear to be listed as vulnerable
