Hi,
I live in Malta and now its time that camponotus barbaricus mate. I'm interested if anyone on the forum ever went to get some queens.
If anyone can help me how can I find a camponotus barbaricus queen like at what time of the day they usually fly or what is the preferred weather or should i dig to find the founding chamber or maybe under stones. Well any help and tips would be appreciated.
thank you

They're a mostly nocturnal species so they're probably dusk flyers. I'd watch out for them during late evening/night and early morning.

We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.
