3. Rural area? I found it in my driveway.
4. +-11/16ths of an inch.
5. Its all black and shiny with stripes on its back end that are slightly lighter black. As far as I can tell, it doesn't have any hair.
6. Its size and the dull stripes are the only distinguishing features.
7. It doesnt move often, but moves quickly. It also likes to lay on its body with its legs out. Like in the attached picture.
8. No clue about the nest.
9. It was found on June 6th but I don't think it was its nuptial flight time yet as it was the only alate that I saw that day.
10. I can't get a great picture of the head from upfront and you can't see the rings on the back end in the picture as they are very subtle. I tried to get the best pictures I could and I can try and provide anymore information if it is needed. I am hoping it is a camponotus species and judging by it's size I was thinking it was, but I'm in no way an expert at identifying ants so I wanted some help.
