Just found a huge Tetramorium colony with really small workers and quite big ones. Do they have majors?

Just polymorphic? Some of them have red thoraxes and some don’t too.

This doesn't show polymorphism, Tetramorium can sometimes have smaller workers because of things like underfeeding. It's been theorized by some that they feed worker larvae less during the season which alate larvae are present.

As far as the colouring goes, it could just be age. Ants that are young (callow ants) aren't as dark in colour as older workers.
