Only pics I could get before my darn camera battery died.

1. Location (on a map) of collection: Howard County MD.
2. Date of collection: 5/31/19
3. Habitat of collection: Deciduous woods under piece of Cedar tree

4. Length (from head to gaster): about 4mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Yellowish orange
6. Distinguishing characteristics: 
7. Distinguishing behavior: They were only under and not in the piece of wood

4. Length (from head to gaster): 3mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: yellowish orange
6. Distinguishing characteristics: 
7. Distinguishing behavior: again under wood not in.

Definitely some species of Lasius, perhaps in the flavus-group.

So these could be a possibility to place with my Lasius Interjectus Queens?

 

They are from two different colonies and the top 2 pics are at least 1mm bigger than the ants in the bottom pic.

 

My camera died so I'll try to get more pics tomorrow.
