Was marking Dangerous and dead trees to be removed before Camp Season and noticed this Pileated Woodpecker hole. Upon further inspection I can see why the Pileated put in so much effort! Must've been a really big Camponotus nest!!
also discovered very close by an Aphaenogaster Tennesseensis nest too!! In fact a couple were in the old Camponotus nest! C'mon flying Season!! :D
