I was just taking a look at how my colonies are doing, and I noticed a Camponotus worker crawling down the wall, outside of their container. The containers I keep them in are almost air-tight, but since I fed my colonies today one of them must have slipped out when I was putting the food in. I caught them in a test tube, but the problem is, I have two Camponotus colonies, and I don't know which one the worker came from. As I understand, if I return them to the wrong one, they'll fight with the other workers and die. Is there any way I can find which colony they came from, or will I just have to take a chance?

Makes sense, although I'm not quite sure what "aggressive behavior" would look like. Do you know what I should look for?

it'll be obvious. The colony will try to kill the worker. If they just pass by or check it out and leave you should be OK.
