Looking for a queen ant

Hello. I am new beginner in the ant farming. I am looking for a queen ant in Virginia. Haven’t had much luck. Thank you.

Welcome, Alallaie! Turn on a porch light and check and see if any ants fly in. That's what I usually do. You could also try and flip over some rocks or dig through rotting logs to look for queens who have made a claustral cell. Good luck!

Welcome Aliallaie!! Don't get discouraged it gets easier. I started not long ago as well. There are also a few Anters from Virginia here that can give you some hints.

use a black-light. U can buy them on amazon for less than $20
