My ants are currently being kept at 72-ish degrees, some of my ants temperature flow with the day going from 60* to 90*, last year i kept my ants a 66* they where very unsuccessful (one generation in a year for tetramorium. I have recently caught a lot of camponotus and need to know what temps work for them. (western U.S) Thank you in advance.

80-85 would be a good range! not sure what Species you have they may need even higher but 80-85 would help in any case!

The warmer the better for Tetramorium. I’ve had great success keeping them at between 80-85.

82 is usually optimal for tetramorium any higher and usually some eggs die but at 82 there is the best ratio between dead eggs and sucessfull workers (like 12 workers to 20 eggs total or somethin)

Agreed! 81-82 is a sweet spot for Tetras. My 1950s house with crap insulation stays at that level all summer even when we blast AC. I only peak above that briefly when we run the oven or something. Why not let global warming work for your hobby??
