1. Location of collection: Maryland

2. Date of collection: 5/22/19
3. Habitat of collection: Under a rock in a forested area
4. Length: A little less then 5 mm
5. Coloration, hue, pattern and texture: Shiny black lighter colored legs
6. Distinguishing characteristics: None
7. Anything else distinctive: Found near many colonies of red/orange ants
8. Nest description: Under a rock

9. Nuptial flight time and date: N/A

Some species of Lasius, maybe Lasius americanus.

:0 does that mean it could found my parasitic lasius queen?

Looks like it! You're lucky! I can never find Lasius workers to found my parasitic Lasius queens. I've only ever seen them at my girlfriend's old house and at this one park.

Looks like it! You're lucky! I can never find Lasius workers to found my parasitic Lasius queens. I've only ever seen them at my girlfriend's old house and at this one park.
