Super excited! I now have a C. Pennsylvanicus Queen!! My friend who actually got me into this was taking his daughter to Pre-School and she was about to step on it!!
Luckily he spotted it and grabbed her up for me!

I thought you already had one?
I do but my friend actually keeps it so I don't get to monitor it as I would like. He actually may bring it to me as well cause with it getting hotter outside he may be less able to give it a warm area as well as I can. So , oh Darn, I 'll have both!!

Lucky! I don't see this species much in my area. I have seen them in great numbers a few miles away from my house though, but I can never find anywhere to find a queen. I found a lot of queens when I went up to Michigan last summer though.
Currently Keeping:
Camponotus chromaiodes, Camponotus nearcticus, Stigmatomma pallipes, Strumigenys brevisetosa, Strumigenys clypeata, Strumigenys louisianae, Strumigenys membranifera, Strumigenys reflexa, Strumigenys rostrata
Excellent! Good luck with this queen. Just wait till Tetramorium season. You'll have queens coming out your ears.
