Finally got a queen, and she is gorgeous! I found her under a rock on the forest floor. In her claustral cell, she had about 15 or so eggs. I'm so excited to finally have this species!

That one larva is now very large, and should be pupating within a few days!

She's got her first pupa! It's still very fresh, but at least she's got one! I can't wait for her first workers! They should eclose by the time I get back from Florida in a few weeks.

She has four workers now! They have been feeding on the sugar water I gave them, and the queen is looking very fat.
