Ok so I see references to plaster for formicariums al the time.

What Plaster? Hydrostone? Plaster of Paris? either? is one better than the other? are there more types I need to know?

This media is supposedly good to retain moister and humidity?

Who uses it and when?

Thanks!

Billy

Hydrostone is probably your best choice over plaster of Paris. It is more mold resistant and absorbs water very well. Here's a very good thread listing the pros and cons of all the materials used for formicariums.
