I just caught a small colony of Hypoponera, and they don't seem to have a queen. I have seen queens of this species before, and there is none. I would also like some general care info. Thanks!

Look for a shy, fat worker. That is a wingless queen. They activley eat springtails and need to be fed every 1-3 days or they will eat their brood. Don't disturb them too much. They are a slow progressing ant which need dirt.
