Hi! I’m new here and want to know which AntsCanada formicarium is best. I like their designs and I am thinking of keeping a large species like Camponotus maybe? All thoughts are welcome!

If you want to keep Camponotus you won't need a nest for 8-12 months, just a test tube and a small outworld will be enough. Camponotus ants grow pretty slowly.
It also depends on where you are, if you're in Europe there may be better and cheaper alternatives (because AC's shipping costs to certain places are utterly ridiculous).
We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.

I would advise against purchasing an AntsCanada formicarium.

AntsCanada doesn't exactly have the best formicaria, and all of them are really big, so They wouldn't be good for small colonies. You won't need a formicarium of that size for a couple years, depending on the species. TarheelAnts has some good ones, as well as founding nests. I'd check them out if I were you.

Ok. Thanks everyone! If anyone knows which sellers have good formicaria, please tell me. I’d like to consider all options. Thank you!

If you already have a colony, you can buy some on ant depot. Ants Australia on youtube also gives some easy tutorials for self made nests.

I have two Ants Canada setups and I think they are awesome. What everyone says is correct however if you are raising a colony from a new queen then you aren't gonna need anything as big as they are for a long time. I have a captured Colony of Camponotus chromaiodes and they seem to really do well in the AC Camponotus 2.0. I have another Queenless colony of Camponotus castaneus and they seem to be doing ok in the ACFormica Hybrid 2.0 nest. (as well as a queenless colony can do at least. )
I have looked at other setups though that I like as well one I am planning on ordering from is https://www.formica-antfarm.com THA mentioned above look awesome too!
Good Luck!
Billy
Currently keeping:
Camponotus chromaiodes
Camponotus castaneus
Formica subsericea
