Fertile Queens with non developing eggs....?

Yea....they have had a stack of eggs for three months, but no growth is happening at all. Anybody know things that could cause this ? Also they get three fruit flies every other day, and honey every week.

How do you know the queens are fertile?

I think you are confusing dealate with fertile. Queens cannot be confirmed as being inseminated until after they raise a worker.

Ah okay. Some of my P. rugosus do this sometimes. Sometimes I think they're eating the eggs and laying new ones, and other times it does seem that they just don't develop. If it's the latter, I have no idea why.

My P.rugosus eggs are getting on two months old now I think and they have not developed. For the record, I am referring to two of my confirmed fertile colonies.

Should i just leave them...maybe hibernate them ? or is it too late for that
