Wow! Beautiful picture and ants, you Australians have all the best ants like these big headed girls. Hope you get a queen of these ants.

Acanthomyrmex ants are tropical and from the Indo-Malayan region mostly.
They have very small colony sizes, but the major workers are pretty top heavy, matched only in Pheidole by species such as Pheidole absurda.

YES MAKE A JOURNAL. actually, I can't find much on their behavior. What do they eat?
