Hi,

I found what I thought was a Lassius Flavus colony under some pavement stones but I also found what I thought to be Lassius Niger right beside them (shared one of the stones!). I collected perhaps a thousand or moreof the L. Flavus but when I checked later there was no queen (plenty of alate larvae). I think I would have got 99% of the nest.

Now I wonder was one a parasitic species but when I put 2 together they fought.
