I gave her some nectar so she could move. And see her pupa better. I'm hoping they are born this week.

5 days have pass not 1 workers yet. I'm worry they might be dead. For some reason. Or she did not open their cacoons. Time will tell. Maybe it has been to cold. The cacoons look golden.

The pupal stage for camponotus is very long. Especially for larger camponotus.

I Know that. This is not the case. 8 other people i think have the same species colected on the samr week. Yet they already have workers. It could be temperature. Some pics. The workers look ready.

Still no nanitics. Its been 2 months already. They are kept at 80 to 85 degrees. If they are not born in a few days. The workers might fail.

They look fine to me. You're queen might just be a little slow. Best of luck!

The pupae will get darker, don't worry. Maybe increase the temp by one or two degrees to speed up the process.

Bad news. One colony died. I checked on them right before bed. Next morning all but the queen. Who was outside the test tube, and 1 worker guarding brood on a dry test tube were alive. The queen could not stand up. I knew it was over. When I saw orange mold on the tube. The worker died the next day. The queen 4 day later. Here are pics of.livong colomy, and dying queen

Surviving colony

Dying queen. This is 2 days after the last worker died. She died 3 days later. Everyday she was slower until she stoped moving.

The orange mold that killed the entire colony in 8 hours. It surprised me. How fast from all good to dead went.

Surviving colony gave me a fright. I saw workers dying. 1 or 2 everyday for a week. I'm happy to say they were the native. Colony has 15 workers. I expect another 3 to died. All brood in pic are larger than all workers. I believe this colony will.be successful.
