I’m in Nebraska and am wanting a Pogonomyrmex occidentalis colony very bad. If you or someone you know happens to have one, please let me know! I may not check the forms too often so if I don’t respond try leaving a comment on one of my YT videos, as I instantly get notified by those. (Channel name = MacroAnts)

Thanks!

I have never seen any ants that look like Pogonomyrmex occidentalis here in Nebraska. I also do live in Omaha, so that could be why as the only records of them being found is far south west.

Yeah, Pogonomyrmex don’t live in Nebraska.

As I stated in my message, there are records of them being found in south west part of Nebraska.

Yes, Pogonomyrmex occidentalis are most likely found in arid regions of nebraska. More likely towards the western side of the state. I find them frequently in western South Dakota.

We can come to California, look at them and leave. He is asking to keep some. We cannot go to California catch some and bring them back to Nebraska.
