I found 5 of these in a huge flight today. I gave one to my brother, and will be keeping the rest. Also, these are the type that has really vibrant colors with the orange and yellow abdomen.

Wow, making me wish I still lived in TN! I haven't ever seen these in VA except for a lone major I found the other day. Keep us updated on these, they are one of my favorite species.

I thought that too. I found an infertile queen. It was 84 degrees.

Wow. I am really glad I collected as much as I did, because only 2 queens are even showing signs of being fertile. Queens #1 and #2 both have 2 orange eggs.
Btw the workers with queen #1 are boost workers.
