This terrarium began around 3 months ago and the residents currently consist of:

1 Diacamma rugosum colony (<25 workers)

1 Ectatomma ruidum colony (1 queen, <30 workers)

1 Pheidole sp colony (~3 queens, <50 workers)

Oocerea biroi (~5 workers)

small mites

Termites (<10)

springtails

isopods

gnats and other tiny annoying flying things

The three ant species have not shown aggression towards each other yet, and when they cross paths, they just run in opposite directions.

The diacamma are currently nesting beneath one of the plants with a visible entrance. The ectatomma are nesting beneath/next to one of the other plants, no visible entrance. The pheidole just pop up randomly out of nowhere. The oocerea are rarely seen.

I'm wondering how long they will all last together; I don't think they could all live together in such a terrarium for more than a few months.  It will be interesting to see how they all turn out.

Do you have any plans to make the formicarium any larger?

I think you are stressing the ants a bit here, because of their territory. I think the chemicals mix with each other on such small size. I think u don't see the Oocerea because they live in fear 🤔
