I just found this queen in a twig that got cut in half by the lawn mower! She is actually bigger than my Camponotus subbarbatus queens. Her name is Monday (she lives in the Monday box of a pill box).

Monday has been moved into something a little more natural.  :)

Wow definitely the biggest one I've seen! I hope it goes well! I'd like to see if her workers will also be larger than usual.

I got some workers, so I put her in the refrigerator. So I thought. I accidentally put her in the freezer. And left her there for more than an hour. I'm hoping she is still alive...

Queen #1

Monday died in the freezer. But today while splitting fire wood, I found a queen from Saturday night's flight!
