My Camponotus Novaboracencis’s mini hearth flooded, the queen and her 2 workers are safe but the brood was floating around for no more than 3 minutes, it looks like the ants will accasionally check on them but for the most part leave them laying there unorganized. They were rushed into a blocked off Omni nest. Thanks in advance!

Leave them in a new nest or clean up the old one. Give them the brood, too. If they move any to the front of the test tube, they are dead. Just let them settle down and don't excessively check on them.

Yeah, there’re in a blocked off Omni nest now. They piled up all the brood and are taking care of them now so I think they are alive, thank you!

how did the Mini hearth manage to flood? Was this user error? I don't see how it could flood during normal use. Was it the nest mate that flooded the chamber?
