Killing a formica queen and eating some S.xyloni workers.

You can't just tell us you ate Solenopsis and not give us some context.
Solenopsis workers are the only true path to flavourtown

Could be worse. You could've almost died from being stung on the uvula by two Brachyponera chinensis queens and having it swell up to nearly twice it's original size...

So you have consumed a formicidae, specifically Selenopsis xyloni and has entered your mouth through the esophagus then to your stomach and has progressed through your digestive track? Did you defecate it for the removal of the consumed formicidae?

Central American natives fry up Atta queens in oil and eat them as a snack. I tried it many moons ago, and they were quite tasty.

I've had "ants on a stick" at the Wisconsin State Fair. Polyrhachis workers and Oecophylla queens stuck to a marshmallow covered pretzel stick. It was pretty good, but the formic acid taste was gross.

Here’s one: we were trying to sell my house, and an investor was coming to look at it. I thought he might not understand my massive Tetramorium colony, so I draped a towel over their dirt tank. I didn’t realize that the towel drooped down and touched the top of their liquid feeder. This created a bridge out. Less than five minutes later HUNDREDS of workers had streamed out - minutes before said investor was supposed to arrive!

Yeah, they’re at a point where losing a couple hundred is hardly noticable.
