Not surprised 2018 was its most inactive year. I could see everything was slowing down for the past year or two know. This place was booming in 2016 when i had joined. Seems all forums this year took a hard hit, but again its almost 2019. Forum participation is down everywhere and the sign up rate is slow. Eventually even the old members that used to spend alot of time online disappear. Its kinda sad, but people move on and the new replaces the old.

Haha yeah. I went from coming on everyday to maybe once every month. I remember back in 2015 the hotbar would only have threads from the last 8 hours approx

I'm not sure everyone is reading the report correctly, but I'd be happy to answer any questions to clarify the results.  I only used a few bits of public data, since I don't have access to the forum traffic stats.

Here's the current traffic stats.

The reason the scale is so zoomed out in the Uniques, is because Tuesday April 25th 2017 there was a big spike of 4785 visits. I don't remember why.

My guess is GoogleBots or some minor DDOS attempt.

Yes, he recorded a few videos using Drew's ants. Pogonomyrmex and some Acromyrmex I do believe. One on November 26th, but in 2016 (wow way older than I thought) about Pogonomyrmex and another on the 19th in the same year.

He was also featured on on Feb 11, 2017 in a video about honeypots, and mentioned in the video. Not mentioned in the desciption though. I don't think that these events are related to the large spike as that was long after all of these videos.

I remember 2017 was a crazy year. The hobby started to (perhaps temporarily?) boom because of Mikey’s vids becoming so popular. Some of the young kids he attracted to the hobby found this place and it made for some... entertaining (for lack of a better word) threads.
