Yep. I had a worker ant with a deformed antenna constantly look for an exit from the colony habitat one week. Finally, I just opened the top and let it walk away. I never saw it again. Most healthy workers who "escape" still wander back and loiter around the enclosure. This ant was definitely wanting to get away to die and not threaten the colony health.
