Speaking of "The Ants", has anybody read the other book of the same title? Well, in French it's Les Fourmis, English translation is Empire of the Ants, written by Bernard Werber. This one is fiction (sciency fictiony) and if my memory serves me (and it may well not be the case, since it's been at least 25 years since I've read it) it's a decent casual read, but may be unpalatable to those that are more knowledgable and seek scientific accuracy.

I own Empire of the Ants but I have not read it. Though, I might read it after I finish the book I am currently reading.

Apparently a lot of people have gotten Tales from the Ant World I got it back in October and read it all so I would like to post my thoughts on it. It is overall, a decent book. It just goes over ants and specific species. It almost makes little stories about each species it goes over. It doesn't delve to deep into details but still has a decent amount info in it. I have not read any other ant books so I cannot compare it, but if you're interested in ants and you like to read then this book will probably satisfy you.

I agree with your thoughts above. It’s a great book, but there isn’t a ton of new info that isn’t already covered in Journey to the Ants in greater detail.

Aw, it's only 256 pages. That would only give me an hour of entertainment.

I know you don't reside in New England, but the A Field Guide to the Ants of New England is a really good read, it also says other books related to topics in the book.

I think I have been top of my classes in lexile score and reading speed for years. I'm not the best at writing though, just reading what other people wrote lol.

Just found this, but I'm not sure if someone already mentioned it in this thread. There is a five star review and the description sounds pretty interesting, however you can't actually see the review for some reason so I'm not sure if it is the real deal or not.The Ultimate Book Of Ant Colony The Art Of Raising And Keeping Ants_ Bug Guide Book_ Michela, Cecille_ 9798586468468_ Amazon.com_ Books - Google Chrome 3_31_2021 3_06_34 PM (2).png

Judging from the title, it seems like some world class writing here!
