I was looking in the White Ash Tree in my front yard for some Colobopsis sp., and I ended up coming across a Colobopsis obliqua nest, but it just ended up being just a satellite nest with no queen in it, just about 20 minors and five majors, and a whole bunch of brood. The tree is rather small, being about 25 feet tall. There are also a whole bunch of Pseudomyrmex pallidus nests in it, I've seen three colonies so far. Where would the queen be? Would she be on the same main branch these ones were on, or would she and the others be on a different branch?
