Date of collection 11/16 at around 12 P.m
Habitat:Carmel valley mountains
Length 8-9 mm
Red small white hairs appeared to be foraging some digging founding chambers others just ripping wings off caught 17
Pogonomyrmex sp.

I'm going to say something in the genus Pogonomyrmex perhaps Pogonomyrmex rugosus. However the pictures are not exactly in focus. Congradulation on catching so many!

 

 

 

Also if you have some extra time on your hands, please give this thread a review on the proper way to attach and post pictures within your thread. Many people including myself find it tedious and bothersome to have to click to an outside link to review a picture.

Doesn’t look like rugosus, might be P. Subdentadus.
