This forum has been growing pretty fast since it was started less than a year and a half ago, so I thought maybe some of you might like to see this graph.

This is the forum's growth over the last 12 months. :)

Interesting.

Can you also create one showing number of topics created and posts made?  :D

It will be really interesting to see how this progresses as the years go by.  In 3-5 years I will be very curious to see if there is a true pattern, or if it varies a bit (probably due to location of members, flights, and activities).

The application that generated this chart wouldn't be able to generate a chart for that information. It would have to be done some other way.

Does the forum keep information on how many topics and posts were made each month?  Even if put into an excel spreadsheet, we can make some pretty neat graphs.

Well sure all the data is there in the data base. It would just take the right SQL query.

I find it funny how it's more active during non anting season.

What program did you use to track your progress?

Here's my leopard gecko/ant youtube: https://goo.gl/cRAFbK

My ant website.

It contains a lot of information about ants, guides, videos, links, and more!

If you have any feedback, please post here or PM me, don't be shy!

I currently keep:

Camponotus modoc

Formica podzolica

I use a few; some hosted, and some desktop applications. This particular chart came from http://statcounter.com (with a little creative modification of course).

Aside from having a good number of CA members (but not solely, that would be boring), these are the reasons this is the primary board I visit:

  • Organic forum. I.e. not supported by a forum network (which to me is a hassle with logging in, settings, etc.).
  • No apparent bias - not attached to a store or brand.
  • Forum is the website. Don't need to click, click, scroll, oops back button, click, to get to the forum.
  • Clean layout.
  • no grammer rulez,###

Nice, maybe non-anting season is when people have time to come and read the journals while sipping coffee.

Thanks for your work dspdrew. The community really needed this!

The only other forum I've used had a moderator who very poorly represented the community. But I've started lurking here instead, and pleased that half of the content here isn't about grammar!

Sounds like a nice Declaration of Independence. We need a flag or logo that tells the ant world who we are. Any artists reading this?
