Weird Army Ant wasp on favorite website?

On my favorite website, I noticed that there was a picture of a wingless wasp that very much resembles an army ant queen. Does anyone else spot the resemblance?

I see a slight resemblance. Not an ant, but those fig wasps are quite interesting.

Ants are pretty much just wingless wasps in general, so yes, of course there are similarities.


We should respect all forms of consciousness. The body is just a vessel, a mere hull.

True, but the wasp just looks so similar...

Also, I have to say that the wasp looks cool. I would keep one in a test tube.
