I found this queen fluttering around on the ground right next to a nest of Pogonomyrmex Friday night (5-3-2013) during a heatwave. She started laying eggs the next day, and so far has around 40. Some of them are kind of strewn about the test tube, but most are in a pile. Her wings are still attached also.
