Six queens are pretty much the limit- note how their fungus garden is alot smaller- this is because the number of females is too high to allow fast growth. this isn't necessarily a bad thing though.

large multi-queen colonies beyond 6 require fungus boosting, or else the queens will eat too much of the fungus for the larvae to thrive.
