Acromyrmex versicolor

leafcutter myrmycinae attini fungus pupae larvae eggs

Acromyrmex versicolor

the most vigorous of my colonies- initially I began offering them mesquite, which they DID utilize, albeit slowly, with lots being ultimately tossed in the trash heap.

I noticed the colony in my yard was VERY into the yellowed hackberry leaves that dropped from the tree over my backyard, so I offered my colonies some and the fungal growth exploded.
