Hello!

I’ve seen many threads for specific states and such. Most threads are meant to keep up with nuptial flights, sign up for email lists, discuss cool ant stuff specific to that state; however, I haven’t seen any threads for my state or any state around me other than Florida.

So, to change this I am starting a mass email so that anters in the southeastern United States (Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana) can communicate ant information, nuptial flights taking place, journalize and discuss their collections and above all—be part of a group and have people to go to.

If you’re interested in joining this group, just p.m. me your email address and let me know and I will add you to the email list. We can’t have a group without members!

Furthermore, if anyone has any ideas or improvements on this idea—feel free to voice it here.

sounds great, why can't we just have an active thread here?

on that note.... i am really excited about the rain blowing through here Saturday morning. This means it will likely roll through the rest of you in the next few days (i live on the western border of the range of this thread. ) if it goes as planned around lunch time i am searching for pheidole, and generally looking the rest of the weekend in between rain times.

i agree about facebook. leave me out of it.
