Welcome to my Brachymyrmex sp. journal! (07/19/2016)
I wanted to make this journal to share to you all about my two queens. I hope you enjoy.
I don't have a colony, right now. I caught them both about two to three weeks ago. They're really small queens but this is actually good because I'm not an expert in keeping ants, yet. I had a Solenopsis invicta queen but, unfortunately, I don't have her anymore. I don't feel that regretful anymore because I feel more safe and secure starting off with Brachymyrmex sp..
I think my Brachymyrmex sp. might be a Brachymyrmex patagonicus but I'm not so sure, yet. If you think you know the answer please feel free to help by going to the link below:

I'm really sorry about the graphics quality of these pictures. Hopefully, I have a better tool that is useful for taking pictures, soon.
Alright, I have two queens, as I mentioned before earlier. One is in a small test tube but it's sufficient for her since she's small, too. The other one is in a really big test tube that I got from Tar Heel Ants and she's inside the cotton that blocks the water. When I was setting up the cotton, I think I used a pen to put it down and it was successful but it made a hole and it's in that hole which means I can't see her much but at least she'll probably feel more comfortable.
If any of you find me making a mistake please feel free to correct me. Thank you!
